About the job

PAYSTRAX is looking for a Card Scheme Compliance & Relationship Manager to lead compliance initiatives related to Visa and Mastercard while acting as the primary liaison with both card schemes. In this role, you’ll coordinate cross-functional projects, oversee scheme compliance, support certifications and audits, monitor regulatory and industry developments, and help shape payment products within a regulated fintech environment. Responsibilities * Manage relationships with Visa and Mastercard. * Ensure compliance with card scheme rules and mandates. * Lead card scheme projects from planning through implementation. * Monitor industry, regulatory and scheme updates. * Coordinate Product, Engineering, Compliance, Risk and Operations teams. * Support certifications, audits and governance activities. * Prepare documentation, reports and implementation plans. * Deliver internal training on scheme requirements. * Improve internal processes and compliance controls. * Create supporting documentation such as process flows, business rules and API specifications. Requirements * 3+ years of experience in card payments, merchant acquiring or payment institutions. * Experience working directly with Visa and Mastercard. * Strong understanding of: * Card Scheme Compliance * PCI DSS * Authorization & Settlement * Payment processing lifecycle * Experience delivering products in regulated environments. * Understanding of API integrations and modern payment technologies. * Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills. * Experience with Microsoft Office and Visio. * Fluent English.
